A few new fun and visually interesting aerial photographs from a recent drone flight at a construction site in the Denver, Colorado area.
I have been commissioned to fly a few drone sessions at large construction sites here in Colorado recently. My client wanted mostly HD video, but also a few photographs, too. Below are two of the photographs that jumped out at me – what an amazing perspective the drone can offer!
I’m proud to share the current issue of Marijuana Business Magazine with my photograph on the cover. It was an interesting concept, and great to collaborate with the team at the magazine to make this cover happen!
I’m eager to share the current cover of Headwaters Magazine with my photograph of Amanda and her daughter in their home in Security, Colorado. Their water supply was recently reported as contaminated and Amanda and family (as well as most everyone else in their community) had been drinking from that contaminated tap for years. Now they rely on bottled water. Read the entire magazine here.
I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and photograph actress Katie Barberi this fall here in Colorado. She was willing to head to a location I had scouted earlier in the day and even traipse through the woods a bit to stand in what looked like an odd choice for a portrait. However, I’m glad she trusted me and was willing, because that location and her cooperation made the best photographs of the afternoon.
I was up near Winter Park, Colorado this weekend for a wedding and took my drone. Here is an aerial photograph I took up there capturing a nice little mountain creek that is starting to freeze over.
I had the wonderful opportunity to meet in person and spend the afternoon with Liz in her studio in Boulder the other day. It was a true pleasure watching her work, chatting with her and (of course) photographing her as she created.
The headline tells it all – I have had 2 recent aerial photo shoots and it is true – these properties look amazing from the air. The vantage I can offer clients with this technology is breathtaking and game changing. Imagine your corporate headquarters, or construction project from the air, captured in both still photography and video…
(I am a licensed and insured commercial drone pilot here in Denver)
My friend Joe asked me to write up a quick blog post for him at his Mirrorless Photo Tips blog about what it takes to get a commercial drone pilot license. Here is a link to that post: http://mirrorlessphototips.com/how-i-became-a-licensed-commercial-drone-pilot/
And indeed, I am a licensed, insured commercial drone pilot available for hire (think video or aerial photography of a large construction project, industrial sites or even scenic real estate photography) here in the Denver area, throughout Colorado or anywhere, really.
Below are a few portraits of Laura, working in her studio in Denver. She graciously allowed me in to photograph her at work and create a few environmental portraits of her in her element.
